Voice Chat Server Details and Instructions

 

  1. Download a copy of Teamspeak from the ostomyland website. The link is: www.ostomyland.com/teamspeak/ts2.exe (5.8MB - windows only. For Linux or Mac versions please visit: http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads )
  2. Once downloaded, double click the file to install it. When complete you’ll have a teamspeak icon on your desktop.
  3. Double click the icon to start up teamspeak. If it seems as if the window is not opening, do not panic, it’s just minimised to your system tray. Now double click the Teamspeak icon in the system tray

  1. With the Teamspeak program now maximised and visible on your desktop click on CONNECTION followed by CONNECT. (Fig 2)

  1. This will have opened up a window called “Connect to Server”. Click once on SERVERS to highlight it, then right click on it and choose ADD SERVER (Fig3).

  1. This opens up the server set up boxes, and you should enter the information below as shown in Fig 4.

 

Label: ostomyland

Server Address: 87.117.194.77:10000

(Make note of where the “.” And “:” is in that address, its important!)

Nickname: Put your chosen nickname here

Allow server to choose nickname: leave blank

Anonymous or Registered: Click on the anonymous radio button

Password: teamostomyland

Auto Reconnect: Tick this box

  1. Once everything is filled in click on the CONNECT button.
  2. Teamspeak will remember these details for you so that on your next visit to the voice chat room you need only repeat steps 4 and 7. :)
  3. Once connected you just need talk into your microphone and everyone will be able to hear you. To hear other people make sure you have your speakers plugged in and switched on, or your headphones on and plugged in. As with Text Chat you will be able to see who is in the default channel with you and the names will indicate who is speaking at the time.
