In February this year we posted about the Stoma Stifler, a combined stoma protection cap and sound suppressant. We also welcomed it’s own page on our Manufacturer’s: Accessories section.

Well, we’ve received an update from Andrea Bain at Stoma Stifler asking us to let everyone know that the product will soon be available locally in the UK via the Stoma Wise website. Whilst not available at this moment, it will be in the next couple of weeks hopefully. Anyone in the UK who is interested in obtaining the product can contact the Stoma Wise website and they will be placed on a interested-parties waiting list and further information can be forwarded to them as well. In the meantime you can also find out about the product by reading the Stoma Stifler’s latest product poster at the bottom of this post, or by visit its product page here on Ostomyland.

Andrea from Stoma Stifler HQ also said,

• “Last week we attended the annual National WOCN conference in Charlotte, North Carolina USA where over 1300 specialized ostomy nurses from all over North America were in attendance.  There was such a high level of interest and excitement towards the Stoma Stifler  because, like so many nurses expressed, there has been nothing with this type of designed engineering available to address stoma noise and guard before this.   Nurses were able to touch the product, feel how flexible and body conforming the foam cup is, wear it, test the convenient removal aspect (which allows the user to put it on and take it off in seconds without undressing) and express their satisfaction that finally there is a product to address the above concerns for their patients.”
